2011

So I really have nothing new or interesting to say, right now I am hangin in an RV in a mountain setting, basically avoiding the assholes on amateur night. There is a bonfire outside, an extra pack of Reds in the Carhart and I am pretty much hunkered down for the next day or so.

The return back to work looms in the next few days but I am fortunate to have a job that feels like play, and we got some pretty cool projects waiting for us and a real nice clientele list being built. For instance I spotted two of our customers on national television tonight. No, not a fluke but we have several coaches and what not that frequent us.

So 2011 had its ups and downs but I am not a "Fuck 2011" guy, it seems to be a popular bandwagon to jump on. So yeah....another year, a few less hairs, a few more dollars. I got married, so that's a big deal I spose. The dog is losing her young-ness, meaning I now have to mostly lift her up into the truck for her beloved "rides" We were both pretty sad the day we discovered she could no longer "load up"

So there seems to be quite a few phrases in quotation marks here. Maybe we should move on.....Here's to Marlboro Reds on special occasions like tonight, more coffee than necessary, regular workouts in an old school gym with my work boots and blue jeans and old school most anything.

Ink

Man I gotta get a good reliable tattoo artists ans put him on retainer. I walked into a tat shop tonight here in Ohio, there was a picture in a collage I had remembered from being in said same shop last year. Said picture had been swirling in my head all year.

Of course the artist I spoke with last year was not available this year, tattoo artists tend to get changed like bed sheets in a lot of parlors. This seasons artist was kind enough to work something up for me but.....liquor on his breath, unwillingness to allow me to work in my own ideas. Its a fucking tattoo man....it's only gonna live with me till after i'm dead! (I only had to learn that once)

Anyhow.....I need to go see Robbie and get something worked out, from here out Robbie is my tattoo artist, I spose he should know this, if you never been to 1873 Tattoo....well.....you should. Tell him Some Guy sent ya too. In the meantime I'm gonna go sketch some shit.

Disaster Master

I am real tired of all this new school skateboard shit. It became cool which somehow ends up being not so cool. Its not the same anymore, these kids (mostly) seem to be more about the lok, the style, then the actual skateboarding.

What happened to the days of K-Mart tennis shoes, you know...the plastic ones held together with that nylon thing-ee. yo could only try on one at a time and the other would flop around while you walked and shit.

DUANE PETERS!!! ...M.O.D from KA MO CIVILIZED on Vimeo.

thats some left over old school cool shit. It's cool because it is not trying to be cool. Get it

Jones N Johnson

I admit it, when I was a kid, (teens) I thought country was about the sappiest form of music out there. These days I get it. Country....real COUNTRY! Is bad ass. No before you go spoutin off about some Keith Urban or Taylor Swift or some shit sit back down, that shit comin out of Nashville with a recorded DJ spittin across every major market in N.America....that aint country (you can kiss my ass)

This shit right here, this is country, real true outlaw country. Jamey Johnson is one of the few modern artists that really get it, really get real country.

George Jones, Hank, Merle....that shit is country. when it comes to the new guys you got Jamey Johnson, that about it. Eric Church tried it but then went to radio, Dwight Yoakam is close and maybe a few others but likely we aint heard em cuz Nashville (whore) won't play 'em.

I recommend listening to this in a grungy garage with a coffee (black) and cigarette, or maybe behind the wheel of a straight drive four wheel drive sloppin through the mud, takin the back road to Cherokee cuz ya got an ounce or to of bam bam ready to cut up.

Fuggin A

Some folks here asked me...how can you aspire to be a proffessional writer if'n we see typo's and stuff?

My answer....cuz that's what make s the blog you fool. If'n I had finished school like a good toy soldier maybe not. It was like the time I wrote a paper titled "Why AC/DC is the greatest hard rock band ever" The teacher totally muffed it was still opinion, gave me a fuggin F and a do-over. What the hell? They didn't teach prose at Ohio State? Are you kidding me?

so maybe we use words here like "fuggin" and "Aint" and "yins" but dude bro chill man. This thing here is for fun. Its about checking out the scene of "Bikes dogs guns and women" and in the meantime I pepper that salt with some musical flair, hot rods and other cool shit. If'n I wanted to write proper I may have finished school and sent resume's to the Post or the Times or some other bullshit corporate publication. I decided I would rather have fun than do that shit though.

Here is my English teacher from long ago. His writing changed my life

In the meantime pleas lighten the hell up wouldja? It's only prose.
