Still sleeping

Maybe it is what they call sleep inertia, or the collective dream or nightmare. Dunno

I sure am sleepy this morning. Real sleepy

Horton who?....

Yeah, the wife and I watched this...right after True Grit. We rented that for a dollar a week at the local library. I was disappointed with it despite being a long time Jeff Bridges fan.

But if you missed this....muted commercials and all.....you missed out on lyrical and artistic genius. I am assuming that my audience with kids likely already saw this. I am also assuming I left behind my promise for this blog by posting this but what the hell.

Now go get in bed for Black Friday

Ode to Pit Stop

It is with sadness in my heart that I write todays post. Last night while streaming college football and working and playing around on the computer a post cam through on FaceBook from Moses who was relaying us all the news that our friend and fellow biker Robbie a.k.a Pit Stop Bob was involved in a wreck.

Thankfully it was not near as bad as it could have been and most recent reports tell me that Robbie is conscious in Mission Hospital in Asheville N.C beginning the recovery process.

I am not the best with words at times for situations like these and any thing sappy I might say I can only imagine will be returned with Bob's style of laughter and sarcasm that only he is known for.

Latest word is a front end has been sourced for the bike and we (Precision Cycles) have offered donation of time and parts to get the ol girl back on the road.

Rest up Robbie, we got that battery here waiting for you as well I need some more ink on my arm.

All the best and Gods Speed brother.

I gave some sober alcoholics a ride home tonight, three alcoholics. 4 if you count me, which I do. 4 alcoholics all heading home after a small meeting that took place in a small room. One headed to meet curfew at the halfway house, another cross town to crash on a couch and a third armed with nothing but the clothes on his back, an old army blanket, a Big Book and 2 days of sobriety. I was there, I was doing him a favor by not letting him have a warm dry place to sleep. It can only get better for him and it will if he chooses so.

Seeing him head off in the rain in the blackness of night made me grateful, tears came to my eyes and a lump in my throat. I remember that blackness, the loneliness, the wet and the cold, ....the nothing. Looking at every warm lit house i passed with resentment anger and disgust. I and my bridge, I and my loneliness. I

9 letter word

Well...it occured to me just now that we been a lil dog and gun scarce lately. So whats a blogger to do but Google some "dogs with guns pics"

The dog on the floor....first cousin to the wife of a very good long time friend of mine. That's like only thrice removed from a Hollywood celebrity.

Hey....never once did I mention what type of dogs, nor any of it. Maybe next time will be a transvestite riding a tandem Schwinn with a water pistol and a pimp.
