I miss the old sk8 scene. It was raw, it was real it was unmolested and it wasnt cool. Mtn Dew wasnt on board yet, Tony Hawk wasnt selling anything he could put his name on at the mall. We worked with what we had where we had, cops hated us, jocks beat on us and girls were afraid to say our name @ the dinner table. We were punks we were loud mean angry and aggressive. Style want fashionable and we were rats and proud of it.
Non-skaters might look at this footage and think.... "that don't look so hard" B.S. that's Roskopp yo! He was on of the originators, he was fast, hard and full of attitude! Something is lacking in the scene today and I am not sure just what that is. But if you look at this footage, look a the scale of that pipe and think of how fast my man is really going.....bet U couldn't do that.
